ETH NFT Valuations and Rarity Rankings for 14,000 NFT Projects: Now on MomentRanks

Since day one, our mission at MomentRanks has been to make NFT collecting accessible for everyone. Today, valuing NFTs and discovering projects just got a lot easier for every NFT collector.

We’ve integrated 14,000 Ethereum NFTs on MomentRanks, including trait floors, unique rarity rankings, sales history, top holders, and more. We’re compartmentalizing the workflows of your NFT research into one central place — MomentRanks — to make your life that much easier.

Here’s just a few things you can do with our new tools for evaluating ERC-721 NFTs on the Ethereum network:

  • Connect your wallet and view the estimated value of your NFT portfolio based on past sales or rarest traits
  • Search for a wallet address and see the estimated value of their NFTs
  • Search over 10,000 ETH NFT projects to instantly view rarity rankings and transactions
  • View a live marketplace of listings for any project and compare prices to the estimated value
  • View rankings of top holders of any NFT project
  • …and a whole lot more
View ETH NFT valuations for any wallet address.

This is MomentRanks’ first major step in creating a simplified experience for the average NFT buyer; that way, collectors can stay focused on the parts of NFTs that they love.

Why are ETH NFT Valuations Important?

When we started collecting NFTs on NBA Top Shot, checking floor prices of Moments and valuing a collection was painstaking. At the time, existing tools weren’t all-encompassing, meaning collectors were often still opening dozens of tabs and refreshing endlessly to check the value of their assets.

At the start, we created MomentRanks to make valuing collections of Top Shot Moments simple and accessible, so even Top Shot beginners could value their collection. We set out to improve the Top Shot experience and solve a common problem for every collector.

Starting with onboarding data for over 10,000 NFT projects onto MomentRanks, our goal is to solve this same problem for Ethereum NFTs and improve the collector experience.

Today, with so many NFT projects, it’s easy to spend hours checking floor prices and the recent transaction history of the NFT project you own or are interested in. That’s valuable time for hundreds of thousands of ETH NFT collectors.

Understanding and properly valuing your NFT portfolio needed to be simpler and more efficient.

We built our Ethereum NFT valuation tools to do just that for all ETH NFT collectors — completely free to use. We hope our tools can make your life easier as you build your ETH NFT collection, using the rarest trait floors, past sales, rarity rankings, and more data.

Viewing your ETH NFT Portfolio Valuation on MomentRanks

To view your NFTs on MomentRanks, as well as your estimated NFT portfolio valuation, you’ll need to connect your crypto wallet to MomentRanks in the upper right-hand corner. If you already have an existing MomentRanks account, you can connect your MetaMask by visiting your profile

If you don’t want to connect your wallet, you can still find your wallet by searching the address in the search bar.

Looking at the NFTs in any wallet on MomentRanks, you can view:

  • the total estimated value of your NFTs
  • the number of NFTs you own
  • how many NFTs you’ve bought in sold in the lifetime of your wallet
  • estimated value and rarity rankings for each of your NFTs

Keep in mind, this accounts for ERC-721 tokens only.

Different Methods for ETH NFT Valuations

Within your NFT portfolio on MomentRanks, you can change the way your NFT collection is evaluated. Currently, there are four options, with pros and cons for each evaluation method.

  • Overall Floor (listings) — Evaluated by the lowest active “buy now” listing for that entire collection on OpenSea. Keep in mind that if you have a rare trait, its average sales are likely to be above the overall listing floor.
  • Overall Floor (sales) — Evaluated by the lowest sale for that entire collection on OpenSea over a certain period of time — always the lowest time frame possible, based on the volume. If you have a rare trait, its average sales are likely to be above the overall sales floor.
  • Most Valuable Trait Floor (listings) — Evaluated by the lowest active “buy now” listing on OpenSea for your NFT’s most valuable trait (i.e. the trait with the highest listing floor). This evaluation method is generally an overestimate of value, especially for rare traits, because if an NFT is listed, no one has bought the NFT at that price yet.
  • Most Valuable Trait Floor (sales) — Evaluated by the lowest recent sales for your NFT’s most valuable trait. If there has not been a sale for the most valuable trait in the last 24 hours (for very rare traits), the valuation model will adjust dynamically. It’s possible that using past sales could be an underestimate in valuing your NFTs, depending on the volume of that trait. However, by hovering over the valuation in your collection, you can see the number of transactions and time frame our valuation model used.
Different methods for evaluating your ETH NFTs

Collectors can choose between these evaluation methods in the top right corner of their ETH NFT account page. These same valuation presets can also be used anywhere estimated value is used when exploring the collection pages on MomentRanks.

About our Rarity Rankings for NFTs

In every generative NFT project, one NFT in the collection can be more or less rare than the next, based on the components of traits that comprise the NFT. Our NFT rarity rankings for ERC-721 tokens encompass individual trait rarity (i.e. a trait is 0.8% rare), and the importance of that trait type weighed against other trait types (i.e. fur vs. earring).

Viewing NFT Projects on MomentRanks

Onboarding 10,000 NFT projects to MomentRanks means more than just easily seeing the value of your NFT collection. You can now search MomentRanks for any ERC-721 NFT collection to get insights into the project, including floor price, listings, rarity, and transactions history.

NFT Project Explorer

ETH NFT Project Explorer: Find NFT projects

With the Explorer, collectors can filter through the NFTs in any collection to see their estimated value. Collectors can search a token ID to quickly find its estimated value and rarity. The explorer can also be used to filter through the estimated value and rarity of any particular trait, or combination of traits.

NFT Project Accounts Page

View the top holders of any ETH NFT project
View the top holders of any ETH NFT project.

The Accounts page on an NFT project shows the top holders of the NFT based on the evaluation method you prefer. Any account can be clicked on to view the NFTs they own within that particular collection and their estimated values. To view the entire value of that wallet’s NFTs — including NFTs outside of the project you were exploring — click on their wallet address.

Transactions Page

View the past purchases of any NFT project on the transactions page. Collectors can filter to see past sales for any trait or combination of traits within the NFT collection. Transactions are sortable by recency and price. Transactions on this page should be updated every five minutes.

Use this form to send us any feedback you may have about the ETH NFT valuations or the transactions on any project or account.

Marketplace Explorer for NFT Projects

On any NFT project’s marketplace on MomentRanks, collectors can view and filter the live listings posted on OpenSea. You can scope your marketplace search by filtering for particular traits or percentage below the estimated value based on your preferred NFT valuation method (see methods above).

As always, keep in mind that estimated values are not financial advice, and should be used as a general guide of relative rarity. Do your own research before making any NFT purchase, even if it is listed well under the estimated value. Like our Top Shot marketplace, you can toggle the user experience between a card view or listing view in the top right.
